Infrared Thermography
Thermography
ETC utilizes infrared imaging technology (thermography) to offer a “Loss Prevention” service for our clients. Thermography allows our experienced technicians to see and measure the thermal energy being emitted from an object’s surface. This technology will allow for the early detection of problems that are otherwise not visible to the naked eye.
Thermography is proving to be the most effective predictive maintenance technology available to quickly, accurately and without interruption to operations, locate problems in various types of systems prior to failure. We are able to utilize thermography to identify problems with mechanical and electrical systems as well as problems associated with your facility’s building envelop. Our inspection is non-contact and can be performed at any time of the day without the need to shut down operations.
Overheated components are more likely to fail and interrupt operations, resulting in unscheduled shutdowns, equipment damage and additional repair costs. Regularly scheduled infrared inspections can identify overheated electrical and mechanical components so they can be rectified before equipment failure. Thermography can also be used to extend the life of your flat roof and/or save on repair costs by identifying the exact location of leaks and the general condition of concealed roofing materials. This will help decision makers determine what needs to be repaired or replaced, if anything.
The following pictures are just a few examples of some problems that we have identified using thermography.
